Staring at a blank canvas envisioning movements and strokes of plaster flowing upwards, I hear a deep echo within every part of my mind and soul say ‘Journey to Emmaus’. The very moment I heard this echo, this piece commenced, with a combination of plaster, rough textures and movement, ‘Journey to Emmaus’ was formed showcasing the profound and ongoing Journey in Luke 24:13-35 in which my faith, life, and art trace the contours and lines of this journey, with Jesus at the helm, guiding me beyond what I can yet grasp. — Rochelle, StudioR
